Why this newsletter exists
PocketClaw used to be a hardware project (running an AI agent on a $20 phone). The hardware project worked. The interesting part — what we learned about the agents themselves — was where the real signal sat. So we pivoted. This newsletter exists because the live tracking we run on /agents and /cves is too dense to read every day; one Thursday digest is the right cadence.
OpenClaw 2026.4 line is genuinely safer
The crisis we covered in March is over. 2026.4.4 (released April 22) is the first version we'd recommend to a new user without immediately reaching for a sandbox checklist. Old installs (pre-2026.3) remain dangerous and should be migrated this quarter. We have a step-by-step migration playbook in /guides.
