Partner with PocketClaw.

We work with a small number of vendors, agencies and AI infrastructure companies — on terms that respect our editorial standards and our readers' trust.

Three ways we work together

1. Newsletter sponsorship

One sponsor slot per Thursday newsletter. Visually distinct from editorial content, clearly labelled Sponsored, max 80 words of copy plus a single CTA link. Sponsors do not influence editorial selection, ranking or coverage.

Audience. Self-hosters, security engineers, AI infrastructure decision-makers, technical founders. Open rate target: 40%+. Click-through target: 3-6% on relevant placements.

Pricing. Currently in private beta — we're building the audience to a level where sponsorship makes sense. Indicative range when public: $200-1,000 per slot depending on subscriber count and placement. Annual deals available for repeat sponsors.

2. Sponsored deep dive

One sponsored guide per month, maximum. Long-form, technical, with our usual editorial depth — but commissioned and identified as sponsored. We retain full editorial control: if we couldn't write the piece for free if the topic warranted it, we won't write it for money.

Sponsored guides carry a Sponsored deep dive label at the top, in the URL slug, in the meta description and in the structured data. They live alongside editorial content but are unambiguously identifiable.

3. Vendor outreach (no payment)

Building a self-hosted AI tool? Send us a beta. We'll install it, run our standard test rig, and consider it for inclusion in the next landscape report or comparison guide. We don't guarantee coverage and we don't soften reviews for vendors who send us free things — but if you want to be on our radar, this is the path.

What we don't do

  • Display advertising. No AdSense, no banner networks, no programmatic. Ever.
  • Pay-to-rank. Comparison rankings are not for sale. We will never accept money to move a vendor up a list.
  • Hidden sponsorship. If we're paid, you see it labelled. If we're not, we're not.
  • Backlink trading. We don't exchange links for SEO purposes. We link out to things our readers will genuinely benefit from.

Editorial standards (yes, you should read these)

Every partnership is conditional on our standards being met. The short version:

  • We test before we write. If we can't install your product on a real machine, we can't cover it.
  • We keep editorial control. Sponsors don't approve drafts, don't see them in advance, don't request edits.
  • We disclose. Always, prominently, machine-readable.
  • We honour the relationship. We don't take sponsor money for one piece and trash the same vendor in another piece — but we will give honest, unflinching feedback in the sponsored piece itself.
